Robert S Day Award

West Coast Helicopters is proud to announce that we won the “Robert S Day” trophy for 2012 from the British Columbia Aviation Council. Both Peter Barratt, Operations Manager on the right and Terry Eissfeldt, Director of Maintenance in the center of the photo were on hand to receive the trophy at the BCAC Silver Wings gala event held on the 26th of October.

This prestigious trophy has been awarded to West Coast Helicopters for our continued advancements to aviation safety in British Columbia and for our long-term commitment to tourism. Presenting the trophy on the left is Mark Duncan.

Business Excellence Award

Business Excellence Award

West Coast Helicopters is excited to announce that we have just won a second prestigious award. On 27 January 2011, West Coast Helicopters was awarded the forestry/wood products Business Excellence on Vancouver Island Award. Accepting the award at the Nanaimo Conference Center gala event for over 300 people is Mr. Peter Barratt, company principal on the left and Mr. Doug Strachan, Chief Pilot on the right. Presenting the award for the Business Examiner is Mr. Simon Lindley in the middle.

TECHGreen Award Presentation


West Coast Helicopters is extremely proud and excited to win this very first TECHGreen award for our commitment to environmental leadership and involvement with sustainable best practices and energy conservation.

John Leech, Executive Director of the 9,500 member association, Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of British Columbia, captured it both succinctly and powerfully at the gala award event November 6, when he said: "Tech Green awards recognize and celebrate the very best of the best!"

On hand to receive this inaugural prestigious award was Mr. Peter Barratt and Dr. Granger Avery, both principals in our ground breaking company and key promoters for sustainable practices. Along with Mr. Barratt and Dr. Avery in the above photo are (from left to right) Mr. Trevor Williams, Dean of Energy at BCIT, the Honourable John Yap, Minister of State for Climate Change and Mr. Doug Carter, President ASTTBC.
